ECTP European Construction Technology Platform
The European Construction Technology Platform is a new establishment which provides an efficient framework for collaboration of parties concerned and for improvement of research and innovation. The European Construction Technology Platform includes seven focus areas and national construction technology platforms operate currently in 26 European countries. The Hungarian Construction Technology Platform has been established on 26 September 2007 with the co-ordination of ÉMI Nonprofit Kft.
Hungarian Construction Technology Platform (MÉTP)
The Hungarian Construction Technology Platform intends to perform its activities along the strategic guidelines of the ETCP as its national platform in consideration of the special characteristics of the Hungarian construction industry, in order to find solutions for satisfying future social demands in connection with building environments with increasing awareness of social aspects. It provides a framework for industrial companies, research institutes, universities and civil professional organisations to build permanent partnerships. The participants involved in the collaboration determine the medium-term and long-term research and technology development targets and mark out the route that leads to them. The MÉTP is in a close partnership with the other 25 European national platforms and the ECTP.
Aims and functions of the MÉTP
- building a bridge between science and industry involving small, medium and large enterprises, universities, research institutes and professional associations
- involving small and medium enterprises into innovative programmes and R&D activities
- transferring knowledge between nations mainly through participating in European research projects
- active participation in preparation of laws and decrees and national economy development and R&D programmes
- strengthening of the cohesion between the European and Hungarian platforms in the areas of strategies, programmes and support in consideration of the opportunities of the regional connection system
- taking part in the activity of the ECTP
